Long-Term Caregiving for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

Mil Resource Radio with Linda Kreter and co-host Justin Constantine presents:

Long-Term Caregiving for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

Justin Constantine
Joel Goldstein is an author, a speaker, an advocate, and a resourceful father who became a caregiver overnight when his son suffered traumatic brain injury.  For weeks, the Goldstein’s didn’t know if their son would survive, and they plunged into the world of caregiving for TBI.

Since every TBI is different in brain injury location and severity, it takes time and trials to understand the therapies and treatment options open for eventual improvement and recovery. Joel and Dayle were tireless in pursuing traditional and multiple alternative therapies, including HBOT and hormone replacement therapy.

Through this journey, Joel used their family’s experience to help other caregivers, documenting their caregiving and the need for personal advocacy, in his book, No Stone Unturned. Listen for a no-holds-barred look at the caregiver journey for a TBI family member.
